So, Day 1 update,
started out interesting…
I woke up (this is a plus), about 2am, got ready, left and for some reason got distracted by a hot tattoo artist (more on that later), and drove right past the exit to Nashville! Idk what I was thinking!!! I used to live in Nashville for a while, I know how to get there! so this slight scenic detour took me through the beautiful Ardmore, AL and then onto Nashville 45 mins late (which was fine because I had plenty of time to spare)….so I thought.
As I arrive into Nashville and approach the Airport I notice an unusual amount t of traffic…like really unusual. A friend of a friend allowed me to park at their house to save some money and with 1 hr to spare, we skipped the Lyft and he drove me. We raced towards BNA. Traffic was backed up literally miles and miles.
Exits closed
wrecks and more!!!
There’s was no way I was going to make it to the airport, through bag check, security and on the plane in now… 50 mins. Then, this new friend and his wife decide to reroute and take me in the secret, “known only to Nashvillians” way and we beat all the mounds of traffic by mere mins!!! With seconds to spare I barely checked my bag in. The lady was told me we had 30 seconds to run my card and get my bags checked in to get them on the plane!!! I handed her my debit card, she swiped it and held her fingers up and crossed them….
and…
it went through!
We got it done, and I’m here and so are my bags….I think.
Being thankful for new superhero friends, quick bag check ladies, double Jack and cokes and beef Jerky!
Here’s to an adventure friends!
xoxo
